1.11 Day 11

Nozomi gets an unexpected call.
"You're that chick who keeps performing in front of my restaurant," it's a statement, not a question.
"Uh..."
"Never mind," the man on the other end snaps, "Look, we need a performer tomorrow night, some charity thing. You interested?"

She is definitely interested.

Even though she was offered the gig, she still needs to formally audition. Some labor law, she's not really sure.

"The-the coin! Where did it go?" the proprietor is genuinely mystified.
Maybe I should do birthday parties, she inwardly snarks, this guy has the mental capacity of a 2 year old.

"Wait! It's right...here..." she takes the over-sized coin out from behind his ear.

Mind=blown

Seeing Pelvis Eastly busk outside Taras's workplace makes him think of Nozomi.
He hopes she's having more success than Pelvis over here.

Thankfully, she is.

In fact, you could say she's...

On fire.
(I'm here all week)

With his recent promotion, Taras was also given this moon-horoscope reader. He's supposed to learn how to use it.
He experimentally flips a few dials and rotates the crystal ball in the middle. It spits out a fortune:
This lunar phase does not bode well for you. You will be betrayed by someone close to you.
Taras scoffs. This thing only has about 5 fortunes, so you would think it would go for something a bit less direct.

After her tip session, Nozomi is approached by yet another pregnant woman.
"You're really great! I've been needing an excuse to stay out of the house- staying cooped up with just my husband and this," she gestures towards her baby bump, "has been driving me crazy!"
Nozomi laughs, "Well, glad to be of service. I think that's why I can't really imagine having kids; staying at home all day would drive me nuts.
"Neither did I. But life has a way of sneaking up on you."

Despite her professed aversion to children, Nozomi does not pass up the opportunity to "listen to" the baby.

Seeing this woman's blissful grin makes Nozomi feel a little wistful.
Maybe kids aren't such a bad thing...

AN: They better not be, I have 10 generations of you guys to play!

    1. Ugh, I *know*. Once he goes into one of the branches (con artist or genuine psychic) I'm hoping he gets an actual uniform.

  2. No, Nozomi, don't do it--kids are awful! XD Though the legacy can't continue if you don't have them, so...

    1. Hahaha, kids in the first generation tend to be a hassle! Thankfully they're not nearly as hard as real life babies! Sim toddlers can actually sleep for about 5 or 6 hours straight- lol.
